#13 ai.com, fancy domain name Sam. Github Copilot upgrade, Roblox is working on generative AI tools and The Room That Designed Itself.
Happy tuesday everyone!
ai.com
ChatGPT just received a huge upgrade that will make accessing the AI chatbot much easier.
The domain AI.com now forwards to OpenAI's ChatGPT. The domain was acquired in 2021 but did not resolve into an actual website until just this week.

GitHub Copilot now has a better AI model and new capabilities
To improve the quality of GitHub Copilot’s code suggestions, Github has updated the underlying Codex model resulting in large-scale improvements to the quality of code suggestions and a reduced time to serve those suggestions to the users.
Case in point: When GitHub first launched GitHub Copilot for Individuals in June 2022, more than 27% of developers’ code files, on average, were generated by GitHub Copilot. Today, GitHub Copilot is behind an average of 46% of a developer’s code across all programming languages—and in Java, that number jumps to 61%.
This work means that developers using GitHub Copilot are now coding faster than before, thanks to more accurate and more responsive code suggestions

Roblox is working on generative AI tools.
Roblox (the company) is working on generative AI tools to help developers who build experiences on Roblox more easily create games and assets. The first two tests of the tools will roll out in the coming weeks: a tool to make “generative AI materials from a text prompt” and a tool for generative AI to complete code, according to a blog post from Daniel Sturman, Roblox’s chief technology officer.
You can get an idea of how they’ll work in this short video; in one example, somebody types in different descriptions of materials for a car, and those patterns are applied right away. In others, you can see how autocompleting code might work for things like turning on the car’s lights and making it rain in the game’s world.

The Room That Designed Itself
It works a little something like this: Think of your dream room—any style, anywhere. Can you describe it in a sentence?
Good…
Type that into the text box. Hit enter and watch as your vision materializes on the screen, steadily gaining clarity as if you were twisting a camera lens. First, you perceive white forms of softly curved furniture and the arched shapes of windows. You then gradually spot blossoms on a branch, intricate moldings, and soft bouclé textures. This room you’re seeing may not technically exist, but somehow it’s more real than anything you could have ever imagined.
